Accessing Somatic Intelligence: What they didn't tell you about the wisdom of the body in school

  • People Before Patients Montreal Canada (map)

This session explores the bodymind complex and is intended for health care practitioners working across all disciplines.

Conventionally, health care practitioners learn about human anatomy and physiology - the structures and functions of the body. This often invites the belief that the mind and body are separate. The body is the object of attention of mind.

Ancient wisdom and modern scientific discovery reveal that this line drawn between the “wise mind” and the more “primitive body” is simply an illusion. This divide cuts us off from accessing profound somatic intelligence that supports deep integration and healing.

Together we’re going to explore the richness of the bodymind complex. Discover the great intelligence that flows through the body and learn ways to draw from a deeper well of somatic wisdom.

Our first session on December 7th at 6 pm EDT will be an introduction to somatic intelligence. This gathering is designed for those in health care practice who are curious to explore ways to enrich their lives through decoding the wisdom of the body. Future explorations will include how this new somatic intelligence can be woven into practice with clients.

Discover:

  • How the the bodymind is connected.

  • How our limiting beliefs about the bodymind are formed, affect our health, and stop us from taking key actions to change our lives.

  • The 4 body-centered questions which will uncover the limiting beliefs that keep us feeling anxious, depressed, in pain, stuck, and unsatisfied with our lives.
